Vaudeville Underground is an ongoing series of scheduled events designed to help local performers connect, grow, share resources, and improve as a community of diverse performing artists. We share the common goal of connection and performing arts community growth, and we strongly believe in accessibility, building each other up, creating and sharing opportunities, actively working on inclusivity, maintaining strong ethics in performance arts, and tearing down gatekeeping barriers. To do these things, we regularly meet for skillsharing rehearsals, costume and clothing swaps, stitch-n-bitches, workshops, and more, and we have created a pay-what-you-can membership program as well as scholarship fund to balance the financial barriers of some of our community with our organizers' costs to create.

Membership fees cover the costs associated with maintaining a safe and functional community space for us to use as we like. Included in the membership is access to teaching Vaudeville Underground workshops without extra venue rental fees (if you charge for your workshop, you will keep all of what you make). Reach out to Havoq any time you'd like to schedule a workshop and we'll work with you based on availability.
We have one completely free event per month every first Wednesday from 5-7 at The Beehive. This one is a loose, freeform sort of meetup for anyone to come practice their acts, network with the community, work on their costumes (byo supplies), and be in community with each other. The rest of our events are for our monthly pay-what-you-can members to help us cover the costs of maintaining and growing the Vaudeville Underground program. Please note that Vaudeville Underground does NOT grant you full-time access to Beehive or any of the venue's other events, it is a membership for scheduled Vaudeville Underground events only.

The payment system will automatically charge your card each month. You are able to pause, change, or cancel your order any time in the membership portal, which is maintained on the internet by our sponsor small business Create Havoq Apparel. You can choose any of the membership options on a trust-based scale, and if you'd like to contribute higher than these options include, you can sign up for multiple memberships and the money will go towards covering program costs or sponsoring other community members. If you'd like to send a one-time contribution, Venmo @HavoqLuscivia with "Vaudeville Underground" in the note or reach out to them about creating a one-time listing to charge your card.

Scholarship opportunities are available on a case-by-case basis if you can't afford to contribute financially. Sponsors and scholarships are kept fully confidential for the privacy of all involved. We're not an accredited agency nor an official nonprofit, we're a community-built group of performing artists and we use the word "scholarship" to mean we can get your membership costs covered together.
